Major Trekking Region, Peak Climbing & Expedition Adventure in Nepal

Considered as one of the most challenging treks in Nepal, the Manaslu Circuit will reward the adventurous with an unparalleled alpine experience. Opened in 1992, this area offers a combination of rich culture heritage, unsurpassed beauty, and biological diversity. We ascend the Gandaki River valley, which is fed by innumerable rivers and waterfalls, offering the chance of a plunge into some bathing pools. From here, the streneous section begins and yaks begin to out number people in the rocky landscape. In Samagoan (3450m) we visit the glacial green lake of Birendra, before crossing into mystic Samdo, a mere 15km from the Tibetan border. Here Tibetan monks inhabit sacred monasteries and combined with the views of the Tibetan plateau against stark white Himalayas this is a truly spiritual place. The biggest challenge then awaits - crossing the snow bound Larkya La pass (5213m). Snow-covered peaks over 6500m towers above as we cross. The descent, once off the snow, takes us through alpine then tropical areas, bursting with ferns, bamboo, pine trees, waterfalls and aqua-blue green lakes laced with cotton-white beaches. Finally, Manaslu will disappear as we descend to Beshishar (832m.) This 3week excursion will leave you with a sense of peace and respect for the people of Nepal and its ecological wonders.
The Annapurna Region named after the world famous Mount Annapurna (8091m) is a land of spectacular beauty and bio-diversity. With most admired and most visited area for trekking in the country, the Annapurna region reaches as high as (8091m) of Mt. Annapurna 1st and covers the area of one of the well managed Annapurna conservation area and is spread around Kaski, Mustang, Manang and Lamjung districts of Nepal.
Langtang is one of the most unspoiled national parks of Nepal which is situated north of Kathmandu near the Tibetan border; it is the most easily accessible highland sanctuary from the capital. Langtang covers 1,710 sq. kilometers forming the upper catchments areas of two of Nepal's largest river systems - the Trishuli and Koshi. This National park was designed in 1970/1971 but established only in 1976 by the government of Nepal. The three major areas are Langtang, Gosainkund and Helambu, which can be combined in many different ways to make treks from 7 to 16 days long. This trekking route requires a national park permit and it is illegal to enter inside the national park without national park entry permit.
Manaslu at 8163 meters (26, 775') is the 8th highest peak in the world and is located near to the border of Nepal and Tibet. The name Manaslu means "The Spirit-Mountain" in the local dialect, referring to the benevolent and strong deity, which dwells within. Trekking in Manaslu is one of the most delightful adventures. Manaslu trek was officially opened in 1991 which is lies between the two big rivers, the Budi Gandaki and the Marshyangdi. This area offers a combination of rich cultural heritage, unsurpassed beauty and biological diversity. Trekking in Manaslu region is one of the most spectacular treks in the Himalaya which is located in the eastern part of Nepal offering impressing natural scenery. Manaslu was attempted by Japanese expeditions every year from 1952 until 1956, when the first ascent was made then its became known as a '”Japanese Mountain”.
This remote, rugged land of elevated open valleys, long rides, temperate forest, alpine meadows and virgin rivers was one of the kingdoms of the Khasa Mallas in the 14th. Century. The region still holds the remnants of the bygone era, and one can find sculptured temples, stone pillars and carving. Rafting down the Bheri, one of the major tributaries of the Karnali River is certainly a most exhilarating experience viewing the river Dolphins. The area has seldom been visited by westerners and the flow of water and drop of elevation is much faster and steeper than on the Trishuli and Sun Koshi rivers. The ultimate conclusion of the trip, to Karnali Tented Camp inside the Bardia National Park, is the highlight of this fascinating adventure.
Trekking in Eastern Nepal includes an eastern approach to Everest. This region is very isolated but has some of the best trekking in Nepal. The most popular areas for trekkers are the Makalu Barun National park on the border of Tibet and the Kanchanjunga massif on the border to Sikkim. Trekking to the very remote Makalu (8475m) and Kanchanjunga (8598m) base camps are two of the finest treks in Nepal. This area is rarely visited by trekkers and this is an area with diverse and colorful culture at the lower elevations and rich in wildlife at the highlands. To make trips to eastern mountains, either domestic flight or long journey by bus is necessary. The main domestic airports are Tumlingtar, Lamidada and Taplejung which have direct connection with Katmandu.
